About Me
I'm a unitarian universalist pagan in the St. Louis area. I'm 23, and attending SIUE, working on a social work degree. I'm trying to make my life more organized, green, and spiritual. I keep meaning to, but hopefully I actually stick with it this time.
I've finally started recycling more, and I got some reusable shopping bags from www.BagguBag.com!

At my church (First Unitarian Church of Alton) I am in the pagan chalice circle (we aren't a coven, just a group). Together, we celebrate the sabbats, which is great. However, this year each person in the group will be taking a sabbat and organizing a ritual for the evening. I chose the Summer Solstice, since I don't have to worry about times conflicting with school.
Now, I am a follower, not a leader, so I feel this is going to be rather difficult for me, and as the date gets nearer, I've been getting more and more nervous. I'm not really sure what to have us do. In all the books I have that have group rituals in them, they are for covens, with priestesses and such. And for the most part, all those rituals are too formal for our group anyway.
If anyone happens to read this and has any ideas, I would be greatly appreciative.
It's taken me a while, but I'm finally getting further along being more green, spiritual, and organized.
I've purchased some re-usable shopping bags! They should arrive in a few days. I highly recommend this site to anyone who wants to get re-usable grocery bags. They come in awsome colors, hold a bunch, and are very compact. Here's the site to go to if you're interested. www.baggubag.com
My room is finally getting cleaner. I can see a lot more of the floor now. lol But I better be quick about finishing it, because my grandpa has made me a couple of really nice bookshelves that will be done in about a week, and I need to make room for them! I'll put up pictures of them, probably.
I've been better about getting myself to church the past month. It really sucks, though. The day we're having our Beltane ritual at church, I have to work. :( Hopefully I can find soemone to cover for me. I'm hosting the Summer Solstice, and I need ideas. I was hoping to get to this one so I can see what would be best to do.
Anywho, I better get to work on my room. I hope you all have a great Beltane! Goddess bless you.
I know, I know. I said I'd be more spiritual and more green, etc. etc. I'm working on it, sorta. Seeing as Samhain is the New Year for the Celts, I've decided to have a sort of New Year's Resolution.
I shall do my best to be a more spiritual person. As of late, I've been fairly "spiritually dead." It's not a good feeling. I feel very empty inside. :( But not for long. During my Samhain ritual, I will make a commitment to myself to be more active in my spirituality. How?
Bright Blessings, Rachel! I was just wandering about, came across your page, and thought I'd say hello. Drop by my blog sometime...you're always welcome!
